Information We Do Not Collect
Your calculator inputs never leave your browser. Every calculation on LayoffCalc — salary, savings, severance, expenses, state selection, years of service — runs entirely in JavaScript on your device. No figures are sent to any server, stored in any database, or logged in any form. We have no access to any number you enter.
We do not collect, store, or process:
- Salary, income, or compensation figures
- Savings, investment, or bank account information
- Severance amounts or negotiation details
- Monthly expenses or financial runway data
- Name, email address, phone number, or any contact information
- Social Security numbers, tax IDs, or government identifiers
- Employment history or employer details
There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no forms on LayoffCalc that collect personal information. You can use the full calculator completely anonymously.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit LayoffCalc, Google Analytics 4 (GA4) automatically collects anonymized usage data to help us understand how people use the site and improve it over time. This data does not identify you personally.
Google Analytics 4 may collect:
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- General geographic location (country and region — not precise address)
- Device type, operating system, and browser
- Referring website (where you came from)
- Session duration and navigation patterns

Third-Party Services
LayoffCalc integrates with the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy and data practices independent of ours:

- Google Fonts — web typography served from Google's CDN. Google may log font requests per its standard infrastructure policies.

For CCPA purposes: LayoffCalc does not sell personal information. We do not have a "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" opt-out because we do not sell data.

LayoffCalc is intended for adults navigating employment transitions. The site is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under the age of 18.
